  1. Although this is a group event, each participant ultimately takes responsibility for their own wellbeing, health and safety during the event.

  2. Participation in the event requires travel on public road systems, traversing K'gari (Fraser) Island, crossing over to K'gari via a barge and again on the return.

  3. The island requires extensive sand (beach) driving which does require a special skill set.

  4. Extreme care is required from the driver and passengers at all times to ensure safe travels.

  5. The group organisers cannot and do not assume responsibility for the participants of these events.

  6. The event does not take place in a controlled environment but in nature where everyone is exposed to nature's challenges such as beach driving, ocean tides, weather events, natural disasters, dangerous animals, venomous animals and insects, unresponsible people of the general public who may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or simply inexperienced with the environment.

  7.  Therefore every individual needs to understand and acknowledge that their participation in this event is subject to them accepting responsibility over their own person's health and safety, and their minor children's' health and safety and their personal effects / items at all times.

  8. The organisers cannot control the general public, weather, behaviour of animals, or insects, therefore the organisers cannot assume and do not accept responsibility of any form during the course of the event.

  9. Every participant in the event needs to ensure that their vehicle of choice (4x4) is road worthy, safe and capable of traveling to (and back from) a remote and challenging environment.

  10. Every participant is required to comply with all general laws and regulations of the Australian Government, Queensland Government, and Queensland Parks, including Queensland Fisheries which are applicable on them during the course of these events.
